Nettie Owens, CPO-CD ® is an internationally recognized and award-winning expert and speaker in the field of accountability, and productivity. She is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Management . Owens’ methodologies are brain-based, researched and backed by science. Through training, speaking, coaching, blogging, and over 50 video interviews on “What Businesses Need To Know Right Now,” she brings over 15 years worth of experience to her communities and beyond.

Owens helps parent entrepreneurs balance a busy life and grow a business. She began her career in the mental-health sector and helped those with special needs get a better grip on their personal organization to enhance their quality of life. Owens has worked in a variety of positions for companies large and small and honed her skills in management, project management, customer service, training and office administration. She also owned a nationally recognized organizing business. She has always had a gift for collaboration, clear communication, coordinating projects and getting things done. She now creates environments that support each of her clients. It is her mission to help others pave the path to their ultimate potential. Owens has been a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Specialists (NAPO) and the Institute for Challenging Disorganization since 2004 and a member of the Institute for Challenging Disorganization since 2010. She holds a Level I Certificate in Time Management from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization as Coaching Essentials and Leadership Coaching from Coach Approach for Organizers.

As a nationally recognized speaker and authority, Owens covers topics such as productivity, accountability, leadership and parenting, and creating the perfect remote work space, productive work from home, and how to help teams work remotely and productively. She can also customize a presentation or workshop for organizations.

Serving the community is also very important to Owens. She has volunteered with such nonprofits as the Araminta Freedom Initiative, Affiliated Sante Group, SARC, Harford Family House, The Arc, Harford County Public Library and the Chesapeake Professional Women’s Network.
